Thursday 1 January New Year’s Day Walk 2025
Two-mile circular guided walk around Pontardawe calling at points of interest including some Pontardawe Street Art Boxes.

Glyn Williams will give an illustrated talk on ‘Brunel’s Paddington Station’.
Wednesday 19 February at the Heritage Centre Pontardawe, 7pm
Dr Hugh Jones will give an illustrated talk on ‘The Gilbertsons of Pontardawe, their legacy and achievements’.
Wednesday 19 March at the Heritage Centre Pontardawe 7pm
Gwenllian Beynon will give an illustrated talk on ‘The life and work of the Polish artist Josef Herman’.
Wednesday 16 April at the Heritage Centre Pontardawe 7pm
Our AGM followed by an illustrated talk by Keri Thomas on ‘The Railways around Pontardawe’.
Thursday 15 May visit to Porthcawl Museum.

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the end of WWII we have 2 illustrated talks on ‘Pontardawe during WW2’. ‘Preparation for war, local defence and evacuees’ by Hugh Jones and ‘Bombing raids, local service men & women, memorials’ by David Jones.

Ken Thomas will give an illustrated talk including a video on ‘The History of the Glove
Industry in the UK’.
Saturday 21 June Summer Solstice Walk.

The Green Gathering at Pontardawe Recreation Ground all all-day event where we have a stall.
Saturday 12July
A guided tour by Gareth Richards of sites of interest on the Gwrhyd; visiting the Chapel, Quarry, Standing Stone & Remains of the school & Smallpox Hospital. Meet by the Chapel at 10am.
